What Hurricane?

So the Canes suck. I know...I'm about two days late on this but it has taken me that long to get over the depression. Here's the best way to describe things...if it looks like shit.......and if it smells like shit....... it probably IS shit. Shit is really the best word I can think of to describe the absolutely pathetic showing that the Hurricane offense had on Monday Night against Florida State. Actually, things haven't been right on the offensive side of the ball for two years, but I figured it would eventually improve. I was incorrect. Don't get me wrong...the defense looked great, but ya gotta put the ball in the endzone to win. Hopefully the Dolphins offense looks better tomorrow night in Pittsburgh.

Dude. The talent is all there but their sphincters are so contracted as a reflection of their coach's demeanor that they can't step down to pinch off a one-gap blitz nor can they catch a pretty square-in with the game on the line.

Where's the play action and rolling the pocket to hit the tight end drag? The plays would be so easy to call to get them out of their slump and Coker was the O-Coordinator in Butch Davis regime and was still coaching in 2001 and 2002.
The depth on the o-line is sub-sub-sub par and that's almost the end of the story but there are tricks for getting around that- look at Northwestern/Purdue, even Wake Forest gives their QB better time but much of that is due to counter plays and fakes.
Catch Defenses over pursuing (see Northern Illinois vs Ohio State or any big program that they have whipped or should have beaten) and then throw it right over their heads.
They tried screen passes but FSU knows their plays before they run them based on formations.

In summary, I have to tell you that Miami is talented. Their players are as fast and strong as they've ever been but they're not getting coached up. They're just raw as bacon rolling in the mud.
