While the rest of the world fights the crowds to dine out on Valentine's Day, Cheryl and I have decided to stay home and have a nice quiet dinner at home. Actually, we decided to have our "dinner out" last Friday at Prime Catch, which was amazing as usual.
I'm really glad that we didn't go out because today has been one of those days. We all have them...days when nothing seems to go our way. My day started at about 5:50am when Lucy decided to start her daily whining to go out and poo. I sat up in bed, rubbed my eyes a few times, and reached across the nightstand for a quick drink of water. I proceeded to immediately knock this entire glass of water (of course full) onto the floor, the table, my slippers, etc. After cleaning things up, I threw on a sweatshirt (and the now wet slippers) to take Lucy out. Once outside, I realize that I forgot my pants. So, there I stand in the back yard on the coldest morning of the year in just my boxers and a sweatshirt. It gets better. After Lucy does her business, we both came in and I sit on the carpet to play with my beautiful 10 week old puppy. It is at this point that I notice the brown stain on the carpet that came off my slipper. What is this stain, you ask? Of course...it's poo. Not the one Lucy just deposited on the grass, but another poo that was hidden somewhere in the yard.
I could go on, but I'm sure you get the picture by now. Luckily, I made it through the day without yelling at anyone and without losing any clients or friends. Only three more work days until the weekend....
